The Distribution Manager is responsible for the operation of the Logistics Center and all of its activities; including fixed assets, financial audit control, and inventory and customer satisfaction to all customers. Supporting the overall organizational objectives by providing strategic alternatives to meet the distribution needs of the business (B2B/B2C). The Director of Distribution is primarily responsible for:

Apply a total systems approach to designing and managing the entire flow of distributionManage global transportation operations(exports)Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives, integrating best practices with each functionCollaborate with Distribution and Transportation Process Leaders by providing expertise and documentation/work instructions on best practices in Distribution activitiesEstablish and monitor Distribution metrics;Recommend and oversee distribution process enhancements and modificationsParticipate in System testing and programming implementation projectsProvide training, mentoring, and guidance for distribution and support personnel and other interested parties relative to WMS and Distribution processesRecommend changes to system and supporting programming, including the specification of reports, customizations, and the selection of new programming as necessary and supported by a business caseBe a recognized Distribution expert and support Supply Chain, Distribution and TransportationCommunicate the distribution process to internal customers such that they understand their relationships in the greater Supply Chain ProcessWe are seeking candidates with the following experience and skillsEducation BA/BS degree in Business, Logistics, Finance, Material Handling or Manufacturing EngineeringRequired Experience5+ years required of experience managing others10+ years required of distribution/logistics experienceStrong communication skills, including written, verbal and presentationComfortable meeting with and presenting to executives and senior managementPossessing the strategic, analytical and teamwork skills needed to drive major decisions across the organizationExcellence in leadership and project managementTechnology Focus & RequirementsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook PowerPoint)
